Shalom by the Lake is a family-friendly resort and offers a place of refuge, relaxation, and exploration.
Please read and review our policies carefully before booking a stay with us.
1. Check-in and Checkout Times

September to Mid- June
​
-Check-in is from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. If you plan to arrive after 9:00 pm, please let us know.
​
​-Check-out by 11:00 am. Connect with us if you would like to request an extended check-out time to 12:00 pm at no extra charge. We are happy to accommodate you for longer if we are able!
​
Mid-June to End of August (for weekly guests)
​
-Check-in starts at 2:00 pm.
​
​-Check-out by 10:00 am.
​
2. Payment schedule

September to Mid-June
​
Please note that all prices are in CAD and are subject to 13% tax.
​
​50% of the booking is due at the time of booking.
​
​The remaining balance will be processed upon arrival.
​
We accept Visa or Mastercard. If you prefer to pay by E-transfer, or cheque, please contact us directly prior to booking. Renter must be 25 years or older.
​
Mid-June to End of August (for weekly guests)

$400.00 is due at the time of booking.
​
​The remaining balance is due upon arrival.

3. Cancellation policy
​
September to Mid-June
​
90% of paid prepayments are refundable if canceled up to 60 days before arrival.
​
50% of paid prepayments are refundable if canceled up to 14 days before arrival.
​
​Paid prepayments are non-refundable when canceled less than 14 days prior to scheduled arrival.
​
Mid-June to End of August (for weekly guests)
​
A full refund of prepayments if canceled on, or before January 31.
​
50% of paid prepayments are refundable if canceled up to 90 days before scheduled arrival.
​
​Paid prepayments are non-refundable when canceled less than 90 days prior to scheduled arrival.
​
*If you have paid with Credit Card and choose to cancel, a $25.00 administrative fee will apply.

4. Damages & Garbage
​
Our expectation is that our guests leave the cottage and space around the property in the way it was found. We expect our guests to clean up after themselves. This includes cleaning and putting away your dishes, using the recycling bins provided, collecting all garbage around the cottage, and placing it inside the front door upon departure for daily guests or taking garbage to the garbage shed for our weekly guests.

​Any excessive messes left behind will be followed up by our owners.

5. Smoking and Alcohol
​
​-All of our accommodations are non-smoking. If you smoke cigarettes or cigars please bring an ashtray, for outside of your cottage.
​
-Open alcohol (ie. bottles/cans) is not permitted around any outdoor public area on the property (ie. beach, playground).
​
-The use of marijuana is not permitted on-site as the smell travels throughout the resort. Please go offsite to smoke. Thank you in advance for keeping our grounds family-friendly.
​
Smoking of any kind indoors will result in a $300.00 charge.
​
6. Minimum Stays
​
​-​Minimum 2-night stay (excluding summer months).
-Holidays are a minimum of 3-night stay
​
​-Minimum 7-night stays during the summer months (Mid-June to End of August)
​
7. Pets
We have a no-pet policy.
​
8. Service Animals
No service animals will be permitted to stay in our Cottages and Lodge unless first discussing your situation with our office.
​
9. Quiet Time
We are a family-friendly cottage rental property. Please respect our quiet time hours in effect from 10:00 pm-8:00 am.
​
10. Fireworks are not permitted as per our township by-law
